Origins

We grew up on Sri Lanka’s south coast. Two of us — brothers — learned the island from the same shoreline, climbed the same hill country in school holidays, and inherited a country in the literal sense before we ever thought to sell it.

One of us still lives there. He keeps the relationships this work runs on — the drivers who don’t take shortcuts, the families who open their dining tables, the wardens who know which tracks the leopards prefer at dawn, which clearings the wild elephants drift through at dusk, where the peacocks call from the canopy, and which moonlit beaches the sea turtles return to. He is the reason your itinerary will never feel rented.

One of us moved to Melbourne — and stayed. Australian residency on our part is not a line of marketing copy. It is a real business on real Australian ground, accountable under Australian consumer law, sitting in time-zone reach of every traveller who books from this part of the world. When a trip wobbles in Sri Lanka — and on an honest itinerary it sometimes does — no guest is left chasing a foreign call centre at 3am. They are calling someone who answers his own phone, from his own home, who has chosen to feel responsible for the country that raised him and the country he now calls his own.

Two hands. One island. The only way we know to do this honestly.

How we work

  1. Local first, always

Every guide on every trip is from the region they show you. Not a contractor flown in for the season. The relationships are the whole point.

  2. Slowly, on purpose

A two-week journey with us covers what a tour bus does in five days. Time to sit with what you see — and time to change your mind about what comes next.

  3. Heritage, not theatre

We work with caretakers and historians, not staged shows. The places you visit are still living rooms, still working temples, still family farms.

  4. Built for one trip

Nothing is recycled. Each itinerary is drafted from your inquiry — your interests, your pace, your appetite for the unexpected.

In numbers

Built quietly, over many returns.
